Founded in Nashville in 1989, Book'em is a non-profit organization focusing on two core areas: providing volunteer readers to local schools; and the donation of books to non-profits and schools that serve children.  We believe that given an early start, children learn not just to read, but to love reading. What better gift can we give the children of our community than the love of learning?  

The Library Without Walls program focuses on the collection and distribution of books to children in lower-income families who might not otherwise have books of their own.  The distribution of books to individual children is done through area nonprofit organizations that serve low income families. 

Nonprofit agencies and schools in Middle Tennessee can request books in order to distribute directly to children.  All of our books must go directly into the hands of children living in poverty or low income situations.  Our warehouse contains new and used books sorted by grade category. We cannot fill requests for specific content at this time.
