Book'Em Named Predators Foundation Featured Charity

May 16, 2008

Book’em was recently selected by The Nashville Predators Foundation to be a Nashville Predators’ featured charity for the 2008 – 2009 season.

“We are so grateful to The Nashville Predators Foundation for its support,” said Melissa Spradlin, Book’Em’s executive director. “Their assistance allows us to provide more books to local children who need them.”

“So much of a youngster’s future is tied to his or her ability to read and Book’Em is focused on improving reading skills and enabling youngsters more opportunities to read,” said Gerry Helper, president of The Nashville Predators Foundation. “The Predators Foundation shares Book’Em’s commitment and looks forward to working with the organization throughout next year to enhance the program’s reach and visibility.”

The Nashville Predators Foundation's board of directors selects four charities each year to be highlighted throughout the season. Featured charities are provided game tickets for youth, GNASH and player visits, recognition in team publications and other unique opportunities for enhanced publicity. In addition to being named as a featured charity, Book’Em received a $2,500 grant from The Nashville Predators Foundation.
